Role Description The Article Trainee will support the firm’s assurance, taxation, accounting, and advisory engagements through practical, on-the-job training. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in audit fieldwork, performing vouching and verification, preparing working papers, and helping with financial statement drafting and documentation. The role involves supporting direct and indirect tax compliance, including return preparation,
basic tax computations, and organizing supporting records.
The trainee will also help with bookkeeping, accounting entries, reconciliations, and simple analytical reviews, while learning to interpret financial and regulatory data. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, requiring commitment to professional ethics, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a structured training environment.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) and eligible for articleship as per ICAI regulations.
- Solid academic foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation, and corporate laws.
- Ability to work with financial data, perform reconciliations, and prepare basic financial statements.
- Comfort with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn accounting and audit software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for documentation, client interaction, and team collaboration.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and capacity to follow professional standards and procedures.
- Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines under guidance.
- Professional attitude, integrity, and openness to continuous learning and feedback.
- Prior internship or exposure in an accounting or CA firm is an advantage but not mandatory.
