About the Role

We are looking for a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) graduate to join our Mumbai team as a Junior Architect.

This is a technical architecture role that combines architectural working drawings and construction documentation in AutoCAD with building energy modeling and analysis for residential and commercial projects in the United States.

A significant part of the role involves developing complete and detailed drawing packages for residential, retail, and commercial projects. This includes site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, architectural details, and coordinated MEP drawings.

You will also be trained to use specialized building energy-modeling software to analyze building performance, evaluate different design options, and help improve the energy efficiency of residential and commercial buildings.

This is a desk-based technical role with no site visits or travel requirements. It is well suited for someone who enjoys working with drawings, solving technical problems, understanding how buildings are put together, and developing expertise in the technical side of architecture.

Strong AutoCAD skills and excellent attention to detail are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Working Drawings & Documentation

- Prepare detailed architectural working drawings in AutoCAD for residential, retail, and commercial projects in the United States.
- Develop complete drawing packages, including site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), elevations, sections, architectural details, and other construction documentation.
- Work with and coordinate architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings to ensure consistency across the drawing set.
- Review architectural plans, elevations, sections, schedules, details, and project specifications.
- Develop and revise drawings based on project requirements, markups, and internal review comments.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, clearly documented, properly coordinated, and consistent with established drawing standards.
- Carefully review plans to identify missing, inconsistent, or conflicting information.
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain organized project files and documentation.

Building Energy Modeling & Analysis





- Review architectural and building-system drawings to identify information relevant to building energy performance.
- Develop energy models for residential and commercial buildings using specialized energy-analysis software.
- Analyze building components and systems including:
- Walls, roofs, floors, windows, and other building-envelope components

- HVAC systems

- Lighting systems
- Domestic hot-water systems
- Other systems affecting building energy performance
- Run multiple energy simulations and compare different design alternatives.
- Help identify practical and cost-effective ways to improve building energy efficiency.
- Prepare energy-compliance documentation, technical specifications, and supporting reports.
- Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Required
- 13 years of architectural experience preferred
- Fresh B.Arch graduates with strong AutoCAD skills are welcome to apply
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
- Positive written and verbal communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Must currently reside in Mumbai

Preferred Skills The following would be helpful but are not mandatory:





- Experience preparing architectural working drawings or construction-document sets
- Exposure to residential, retail, or commercial projects
- Experience working with floor plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, details, or coordinated MEP drawings
- Knowledge of SketchUp
- Familiarity with building services such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Interest in sustainable architecture, green buildings, building science, or energy-efficient design
- Previous exposure to international or US architectural projects

Prior experience in building energy modeling is not required. Training will be provided.
