Role Description The AR Caller will be responsible for managing accounts receivable activities, including following up with insurance companies and patients on outstanding claims and balances. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing claim status, identifying and resolving denials, documenting all interactions in the appropriate systems, and escalating complex issues to senior team members when needed.
The role involves working closely with internal revenue cycle teams to ensure timely collections, accurate account updates, and adherence to client-specific workflows and compliance standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai,
requiring regular coordination with global teams and consistent performance against set productivity and quality targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong accounts receivable and medical billing skills, including experience with claim follow-up, denials management, and payment posting.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with healthcare EHR and patient accounting systems, ideally including EPIC, Cerner, Allscripts, or similar platforms.
- Candidates should possess solid communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with insurance representatives, patients, and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, identify root causes of issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills to handle high-volume workloads and meet productivity and quality standards.
- Relevant experience in US healthcare revenue cycle management or AR calling is highly beneficial; prior work in a BPO or RCM workplace is a plus.
- Comfort with working in an on-site setting in Chennai, along with flexibility to adapt to shifts aligned with client time zones, is preferred.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in any discipline is desirable; specialized training in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is an advantage.
