We are looking for an experienced API Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in API testing, automation testing, functional testing, and integration testing. The candidate should have good knowledge of REST APIs, API validation, automation frameworks, and backend/database testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute API test cases and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing of APIs.
- Test REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Validate API requests and responses, including HTTP methods, status codes, headers, JSON/XML payloads, and error messages.
- Develop and maintain API automation scripts using Rest Assured or equivalent automation frameworks.
- Perform positive, negative, boundary, and data-driven API testing.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing.




- Test API authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, API Keys, and Basic Authentication.
- Analyze test failures, logs, and defects and collaborate with developers for resolution.
- Integrate automated API tests with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Maintain test documentation, test data, automation scripts, and defect reports.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and collaborate with development, product, and QA teams.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience in API Testing / QA Automation.
- Solid analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
