Role Description The Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaggaiahpeta Mandal. The Chemist will perform routine and specialized laboratory work, including synthesis, analysis, and testing of APIs and intermediates in accordance with established protocols and GMP standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing and handling chemical reagents, operating analytical instruments, maintaining accurate lab records, and supporting process optimization for improved yield and quality.
The role also involves collaborating with quality control and R&D; teams, troubleshooting analytical or process issues, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including safe handling of chemicals, use of laboratory equipment, and adherence to GMP and safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including familiarity with QC procedures, documentation practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills, including experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, titrations, spectroscopy, and data interpretation.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) and Research skills, including method development, process improvement, and scientific problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline, preferably with experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing.
- Additional beneficial skills include attention to detail, strong record-keeping, ability to work in cross-functional teams, basic computer proficiency, and effective written and verbal communication.
- Experience with GMP-certified facilities, knowledge of regulatory guidelines, and familiarity with scale-up from lab to pilot or production are considered an advantage.
