ABOUT LIGHTROAD

Lightroad is building a blended finance platform focused on unlocking capital for underserved sectors.

We design and manage blended finance facilities and funds that bring together philanthropic, public and commercial capital across climate, livelihoods, financial inclusion, healthcare, education and skilling.

Our work sits at the intersection of finance and impact. We work with philanthropic and CSR Foundations, banks, NBFCs, investors, DFIs, social enterprises, non-profits and development organisations to design and implement scalable financing solutions.

Some of our current work includes:

- Financing electric vehicles for livelihood generation
- Enabling affordable finance for Farmer Producer Organisations
- Financing clean energy and productive use renewable energy assets for microentrepreneurs
- Designing blended finance funds, guarantee facilities and other catalytic financing structures THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a high potential early career Analyst interested in using finance to solve complex social and environmental challenges.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical ability, a good foundation in finance or economics, intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly.

You will work closely with Lightroad’s senior leadership on live financing transactions, facilities and advisory engagements, with exposure to financial institutions, investors, foundations and enterprises early in your career.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Impact and Blended Finance: Support the design of guarantees, concessional finance, catalytic capital and other innovative financing structures.
- Financial Analysis and Modelling: Analyse borrower economics, lending products, portfolio performance and financing structures.
- Research and Problem Solving: Research sectors, financial institutions,



markets and financing models and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Investment and Strategy Materials: Prepare concept notes, investment memos, proposals, presentations and financial analyses.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support engagements with banks, NBFCs, investors, foundations, CSR teams, enterprises and development organisations.
- Facility Management: Support implementation, portfolio monitoring, reporting and impact measurement.
- Advisory Projects: Contribute to consulting assignments focused on blended finance and innovative financing mechanisms.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Finance, Business, Management, Public Policy or another analytically rigorous discipline
- 0-2 years of professional experience. Strong fresh graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical and quantitative ability
- Valuable understanding of finance and economics
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written communication and research skills
- Ability to synthesise complex information clearly
- Comfort using AI tools for research, analysis and productivity
- High ownership, attention to detail and willingness to learn

Relevant internships or experience in consulting, corporate finance, lending, venture capital, research, development finance, grant making or impact investing are useful, but not mandatory.

You will also get significant exposure to senior leadership and external stakeholders from an early stage. Prior blended finance experience is not required. Strong analytical ability, curiosity and willingness to learn are far more important.
