**Position : AM/Manager - Instrumentation Engineer (OSD/Solid Rals)

Roles and Responsibilities:**

- Ensure preventive maintenance of all instrumentation and automation equipment is planned and executed as per the approved maintenance schedule.
- Attend instrumentation and automation system breakdowns promptly and ensure restoration of normal operations within the shortest possible time.
- Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for sustained reliability.
- Carry out installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance, and validation support for field instruments, control systems, and process automation equipment.
- Perform installation, programming, troubleshooting, modification, and maintenance of PLCs, VFDs/Drives, HMIs, SCADA systems, and associated control hardware.
- Develop, modify, and optimize PLC logic, drive parameters, and process control programs to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure calibration of process instruments is carried out as per approved procedures, schedules, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain calibration records, maintenance logs, SOPs, and other engineering documentation in compliance with established procedures and cGMP requirements.
- Initiate Change Controls and execute assigned action items within the stipulated timelines as per the Quality Management System (QMS).




- Raise purchase indents and coordinate procurement of instrumentation spares, PLC components, sensors, transmitters, and automation equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Execute engineering, automation, and instrumentation projects and ensure completion within approved timelines and budgets.
- Plan, allocate, supervise, and monitor maintenance activities to ensure optimum utilization of manpower and resources.
- Ensure compliance with Environment Management System (EMS) procedures and actively participate in environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain and monitor safety interlocks, emergency shutdown systems, alarms, instrumentation safety systems, and related equipment to ensure a safe working workplace.
- Monitor and implement energy-saving initiatives through optimization of process control systems, instruments, and variable frequency drives.
- Ensure instrumentation systems and maintenance activities comply with cGMP, data integrity requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Support equipment qualification, validation, audits, investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections related to instrumentation and automation systems.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Validation, and Project teams to ensure smooth plant operations and project execution.
- Ensure compliance with Aurobindo's Quality Culture Program, Quality Policy, Data Integrity requirements, and related global procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, automation efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.
