WHO WE ARE

PanScience Innovations is India's largest deep-tech and AI venture studio. Rather than investing in companies from the outside, we co-found them: we originate the idea, embed a team from day one, and build out the product, technology, go-to market, operations, finance, and legal functions alongside each venture's core team. We've co-founded 24+ ventures across healthcare, finance, judiciary, media, and industrial AI, and our role is to take deep science that would otherwise stay in a lab and turn it into a company that can stand on its own.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You'll be looped into multiple portfolio ventures rather than sitting inside just one, working closely with each venture's core team and PanScience's central studio functions. In practice this means you won't be one product manager among many on a large team; you'll often be the most senior product voice in the room, and you'll be drawing on the studio's shared GTM, engineering, and operating resources when you need them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Take a research capability or technical prototype and shape it into a product a real customer will pay for and keep using, starting with talking directly to early users and prospective customers to understand what they actually need, not just what the technology can do.
- Translate that understanding into a specification an engineering team can build against in weeks rather than quarters.
- Run the build-measure-learn loop yourself: help define what gets built next, sit with engineers as it's being built rather than handing off a spec and disappearing, and watch how it performs once it's in front of users.




- Use what you learn from users to decide what to build next and what to quietly retire, rather than letting the roadmap run on inertia.
- Have the roadmap conversation with the team honestly, including telling them when the data suggests a different direction than the one they walked in with, since the roadmap should be expected to change often at this stage.
- Say no often. The list of things you could build is always longer than the list of things you should, and protecting the team's time by cutting scope that doesn't move the metrics that matter is a meaningful part of this role.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

- 3-6 years of product management experience, including at least one project you took from an early concept through to a working, adopted product (a "zero to one" cycle), rather than only maintaining or extending an established product.
- Working fluency in how AI and ML systems work, enough to judge on your own whether something a technical team proposes is a genuinely hard problem or a quick fix dressed up as one; you don't need to be a machine learning engineer yourself.
- Strong communication skills; you'll be the one translating between users, engineers, and the team, so clarity matters as much as judgment.
- Comfort moving with limited structure, and a willingness to build that structure yourself rather than waiting for someone to hand it to you.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within your first few months, you should have shipped at least one meaningful product change based on direct user feedback, and be able to explain, in plain terms, what metric it moved and why. Longer term, success means the venture's product roadmap increasingly reflects your judgment, because you've earned that trust with a track record of decisions that held up.
