Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Mumbai. The Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank and vendor accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, tracking expenses, and supporting payroll processing. The role will also assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.



The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate financial data and support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, including bookkeeping, ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, expense tracking, and basic payroll support.
- Ability to prepare financial statements, assist with budget monitoring, and support month-end and year-end closing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, GST, and statutory compliance relevant to businesses operating in India.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a small to mid-size business or project-based setting, ideally in technology or AV services, is beneficial.
