Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for clients.
The role involves end-to-end client engagement management, supervision of accounting processes and staff, review of general ledger activities, oversight of month-end and year-end close processes, and coordination with client stakeholders on accounting, reporting, and compliance matters.
The selected candidate will be responsible for accounting operations, preparation and analysis of financial statements, month-end reviews, budgeting and forecasting activities, and management reporting, including CFO-level presentations. The role may also include supporting audit engagements and coordinating tax-related documentation.
Additionally,
the position requires driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality accounting and advisory services.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with demonstrated experience in US GAAP and/or IFRS, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong analytical and financial planning capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and providing actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts and effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives, internal controls, audit support, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising staff, delegating responsibilities, and mentoring team members.
- Qualified qualifications such as CA, CPA, Inter-CA, or equivalent are preferred. A bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, advanced Microsoft Excel, and cloud-based financial applications.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business and client requirements.
- Prior experience working with international clients, particularly in the US market, will be considered an advantage.
