We are looking for an experienced Accessibility Tester to ensure web, mobile, and enterprise applications comply with accessibility standards and provide an inclusive user experience for people with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform accessibility testing for web, mobile, and desktop application.
. Evaluate applications against WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, ADA, and other accessibility standards.
. Conduct both automated and manual accessibility testing.
. Identify, document, and track accessibility defects and remediation recommendations.
. Validate accessibility fixes and perform regression testing.
. Test applications using various assistive technologies.
. Collaborate with developers and UX/UI teams to implement accessibility best practices.
. Review design mockups and requirements from an accessibility perspective.
. Prepare accessibility audit reports and compliance documentation.
. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews,
and retrospectives.
. Advocate accessibility awareness and best practices across project teams.
Must-Have Skills:
- Robust knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA Guidelines.
- Experience with accessibility testing tools:
- Axe DevTools
- WAVE
- Accessibility Insights
- Lighthouse
- JAWS
- NVDA
- VoiceOver
- TalkBack
- Experience in manual accessibility testing.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA standards.
- Knowledge of keyboard navigation and screen reader testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS/Android).
- Accessibility certifications such as:
- CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies)
- WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
