Job Overview

IOTA Academy is looking for a confident, empathetic, and student-focused Academic Counsellor to join our team.

The role involves handling day-to-day student queries, coordinating regarding classes and batches, resolving student concerns, and supporting students throughout their learning journey.

Along with student support, the candidate will also be responsible for calling and following up with prospective students for admissions. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to confidently guide and convince prospective students.

Key Responsibilities

Student Support & Coordination

- Handle student queries related to classes, batches, schedules, course details, and other academic concerns.
- Assist students with batch selection, class-related information, and schedule changes.
- Handle student concerns related to fees, refunds, attendance, and other institute policies in coordination with the relevant team.
- Communicate regularly with students and ensure their concerns are addressed promptly.
- Coordinate with trainers and internal teams to resolve student issues.
- Maintain proper records of student queries, requests, and follow-ups.

Admission Counselling & Sales
- Call prospective students and leads for admission counselling.
- Understand students' educational background, career goals, and requirements.
- Explain IOTA Academy's courses, training structure, batches, fees, and career opportunities.
- Follow up with interested leads through calls and WhatsApp.
- Counsel and guide prospective students and help convert enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain lead records and regularly update follow-up status.
- Work towards achieving admission and conversion targets.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Confident and comfortable speaking with students and parents over the phone and in person.
- Good counselling, convincing, and negotiation abilities.
- Patient and customer-service-oriented approach.
- Positive computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets / MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple student queries and follow-ups efficiently.
- Previous experience in academic counselling, admissions, telecalling, customer support, or sales will be an advantage.

Salary

- Up to ₹20,000 per month
- Salary will depend on the candidate's skills, experience, and interview performance.
- Performance-based incentives may be provided based on admission conversions.
