Role Description The Academic Advisor role is a full time, on-site position based in Bhopal.

The Academic

Advisor will guide learners through their educational journey, providing academic advising, student counseling, and career counseling to help them select appropriate courses and training programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group advising sessions, monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate advising records, and coordinating with faculty and training teams to address learner needs. The role also involves helping learners understand industry requirements, preparing them for placements, and participating in orientation, workshops, and other student support activities.

The Academic

Advisor collaborates with internal stakeholders to enhance learner experience and outcomes, ensuring alignment with Cybrom’s mission of skill development and employability.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in their academic and professional decisions.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with students, families, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge to guide learners on course selection,



program pathways, and skill development.
- Candidates should possess abilities in planning, organization, and record-keeping to manage student cases and track progress efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; prior experience in academic advising or student services is preferred.
- Comfort working with diverse learner backgrounds; basic familiarity with technical or IT training programs is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, placement teams, and administration, and a commitment to student success and ethical advising practices.

? Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students regarding courses, career options, and training programs
- Understand students' requirements and recommend suitable courses
- Handle inquiries through calls, walk-ins, and other communication channels
- Follow up with leads and prospective students
- Explain course details, benefits, fees, and career opportunities
- Convert leads into admissions/enrollments
- Maintain regular follow-ups and build strong relationships with students
- Achieve assigned counseling and admission targets
- Maintain daily records and reports
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure a smooth admission process
