Role Overview The client is looking for an experienced ABAP Team Lead to lead SAP ABAP development and technical delivery across enterprise implementations. The role will involve hands-on technical leadership, solution design, team management, customer collaboration, resource planning, and ensuring high-quality SAP development.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP ABAP, S/4HANA development, SAP MDG, integrations, technical architecture, and modern SAP technologies, along with proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead SAP ABAP development and technical delivery across projects.
- Design, review, and implement scalable SAP technical solutions.
- Work extensively on ABAP, ABAP OO, S/4HANA, CDS, OData, BAPIs, RFCs, BDCs, enhancements, and integrations.
- Provide technical leadership for SAP MDG implementations and integrations.
- Guide developers on coding standards, architecture, performance, and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ABAP developers.
- Manage resource allocation, consultant utilization, and technical staffing across projects.
- Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, customers, and other technical teams.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical and delivery risks.




- Drive reusable technical solutions, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure projects meet quality, timeline, and customer expectations.
- Support technical estimations, solution discussions, and customer-facing engagements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- 10+ years of SAP ABAP experience with robust hands-on technical expertise.
- Strong experience in ABAP/ABAP OO and S/4HANA.
- Hands-on experience with CDS, OData, BAPI, RFC, BDC, enhancements, interfaces, and performance optimization.
- Experience in SAP MDG technical development/integration is preferred.
- Good understanding of SAP BTP and modern SAP technologies.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring ABAP teams.
- Experience in resource planning and delivery management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance technical quality, customer requirements, timelines, and business priorities.

Work Schedule

- Working hours: 3:00 PM 12:00 AM IST to support U.S. business hours.
- Cab transportation will be provided as per company policy.
- Occasional travel may be required based on business and customer requirements.
