Job Description: A Logistics Manager for a power plant directs the end-to-end supply chain of critical commodities. - Transportation Management: Manage rake scheduling (rail), truck fleets, and barge deliveries. Liaise with railway authorities and mining subsidiaries to prevent supply disruptions. [1]
- Inventory Control: Track and manage stock levels for critical spares, heavy machinery, and consumables to prevent plant downtime. [1, 2, 3]
- Vendor & Contract Management: Negotiate rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and equipment suppliers to minimize supply chain expenditures. [1, 2]
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all handling, storage, and transport of materials adhere to local, state, and environmental safety regulations. [1]
- Dispute Resolution: Handle grade/quality reconciliations, transit loss disputes,

Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Experience: 10+ years in industrial supply chain, specifically within heavy manufacturing, mining, or power generation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced inventory management software.
