Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Billing Transformation Application Developer to design, develop, and support a billing transformation platform that enables business users to manage pricing configurations, usage calculation parameters, rate cards, pricing bands, discount rules, billing rules, and approval workflows.

The application will serve as the system of record for billing and usage configuration management, integrating with Snowflake-based analytical and billing data platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong full-stack development expertise using React.js, Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, and Snowflake, along with the ability to build secure, scalable, and business-critical enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

- Design and build scalable web applications for billing configuration management.

- Develop intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using React.js.

- Build secure and performant backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js / Express.js.

- Implement business workflows for:
- Usage calculation configurations

- Pricing and rate card management

- Pricing band maintenance





- Discount and promotion rules

- Billing parameter administration

- Configuration versioning and approvals

Platform & Integration

- Integrate application components with enterprise systems and downstream billing platforms.

- Develop APIs for data exchange, orchestration, and system-to-system communication.

- Integrate application workflows with Snowflake-based billing and analytics platforms.

- Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for smooth delivery and deployment.

Quality & Governance

- Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.

- Create automated test cases and regression suites.

- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.

- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and support notes.

- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize platform performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Technical Skills

Frontend

- 5+ years of experience in frontend / full-stack application development.

- Strong hands-on experience with:
- React.js

- JavaScript / TypeScript

- HTML5

- CSS3

- Redux or Context API

- Material UI or similar frontend frameworks

Backend

- Strong experience in:
- Node.js

- Express.js

- REST API development





- API authentication using OAuth / JWT

- Ability to build secure, scalable, and maintainable backend services.

- Good understanding of API design, integration patterns, and backend performance optimization.

Database & Cloud

- Hands-on experience with:
- Snowflake

- SQL optimization

- Data modeling

- Stored procedures

- Snowpark preferred

- Ability to work with structured data platforms supporting billing, pricing, and usage datasets.

- Strong understanding of data-driven application workflows.

DevOps & Engineering

- Experience with:
- Git / GitHub / Azure DevOps

- CI/CD pipelines

- Docker preferred

- Agile development methodologies

- Robust understanding of software engineering best practices, code quality, documentation, and maintainability.

Desired Functional Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:

- Usage-based billing

- Pricing strategy and rate management

- Rate card management

- Revenue recognition support systems

- Billing operations

- Financial systems integration

- Subscription lifecycle management

- Billing configuration and approval workflows

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

- 5+ years of experience in full-stack application development.

- Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, and Snowflake.

- Experience building enterprise-grade applications with secure authentication and role-based access control.

- Strong SQL, data modeling, debugging, and analytical skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills.
