Role Description This full-time, on-site Principal Engineer – Automation Functional Testing role is based in Hyderabad.

The Principal

Engineer will lead the design, development, and execution of automated functional test frameworks for complex systems, ensuring high reliability and performance of automation solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, analyzing system requirements, defining test strategies, and troubleshooting issues across automation and control systems. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, driving process improvements,



and contributing to technical architecture decisions that support scalable, robust automation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Automation and Robotics for designing, validating, and improving automated systems and test frameworks.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering and Process Control skills for understanding system architecture, control logic, and industrial automation environments.
- Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving complex functional, integration, and performance issues in automation solutions.
- Experience with functional test automation tools, scripting languages (such as Python or Java), and CI/CD pipelines is highly beneficial.
- Proven background in leading technical projects, mentoring engineering teams, and working within structured software development and QA processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Robust communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse, cross-functional teams.
