About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Auscomp Computers Pty Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our clients, ensuring the seamless operation of their IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various hardware and software platforms, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.



Prior experience in a technical support or helpdesk role is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, networking fundamentals, and common enterprise software applications is essential.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) will be considered an advantage. Excellent communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are important qualities for this role. A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and troubleshooting complex issues is also required.

Responsibilities

- Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, or remote access, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and network devices.
- Document support activities, solutions, and procedures to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure security and operational efficiency.




- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide innovative solutions.
- Assist in training clients and staff on current systems and software to enhance overall productivity.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and respond promptly to urgent technical issues as needed.
