- Operational Excellence in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across all Walkaroo manufacturing units. The role is responsible for improving productivity, eliminating waste, standardizing processes, coordinating improvement projects, monitoring operational performance, and driving a culture of Operational Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lean Manufacturing
- Implement 5S across manufacturing plants.
- Coordinate Kaizen activities and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Identify and eliminate waste using Lean principles.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Improve production flow and line balancing.
- Standardize Lean practices across manufacturing units.
- Coordinate Lean and Operational Excellence projects.
- Track project progress, timelines and savings.
- Ensure sustainability of implemented improvements.
Process Standardization
- Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Develop Work Instructions and Visual Standards.
- Standardize best practices across all manufacturing plants.
Performance Monitoring
- Prepare Daily, Weekly and Monthly MIS reports.
- Monitor productivity and operational KPIs.
- Maintain project trackers and dashboards.
- Present improvement reports to management.
Shop Floor Audits
- Conduct 5S audits.
- Conduct Lean process audits.
- Verify SOP compliance.
- Identify improvement opportunities during shop floor visits.
Training &
- Development
- Support Lean and Continuous Improvement training programs.
- Conduct awareness sessions on Lean tools.
- Encourage employee participation in Kaizen activities.
- Promote a Continuous Improvement culture.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Warehouse and Procurement teams.
- Support implementation of improvement projects across multiple manufacturing units.
Cost Reduction
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support material, labour and process optimization.
- Track annual cost savings from improvement projects.
Digital &
- Data Analytics
- Maintain Lean project database.
- Analyse production and process data.
- Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
