Gilbarco Veeder-Root is looking for a energetic and technically skilled

L1 -Senior Automation Engineer - lead and support field service operations. This is a technical leadership role responsible for assigning tasks to field engineers, managing service teams, providing technical guidance over phone calls, handling customer queries and escalations, and ensuring timely resolution of service issues. The candidate will also be required to visit customer locations whenever necessary to support team members in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems related to automation systems, fuel dispensers, forecourt automation systems, and associated equipment.

Role & responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of Field Service Engineers and Technicians, ensuring effective task allocation and service delivery.
- Provide technical guidance, remote support, and troubleshooting assistance to team members while handling customer queries and escalations.
- Coordinate with internal departments for technical support, spare parts, and service planning to ensure timely issue resolution.




- Visit customer sites whenever required to support the team in diagnosing and resolving critical automation and equipment-related issues.
- Monitor team performance, maintain service documentation, and ensure compliance with company service standards, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education (Mandatory): ITI, Diploma, or Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics engineering stream.
- Only experienced candidates with a background in Automation, Oil & Gas, Petroleum Equipment, Fuel Retail Automation, or related industries are preferred.
