Job Title: Boiler Operator ( 1st Class)

Department: CPP

Reporting to: Manager- Boiler

Functional Area: Boiler

Type of Job: Permanent

Location: Dahej

Job Purpose To ensure smooth functioning and running of the FBG with designed Parameters.

To maintain FBG & Its related Mountings / Fittings in Operational & Healthy Condition.

Uninterrupted steam supply according to the needs/requirements of process Plant.

Role and Responsibilities

Operational

Responsible for Daily Checking of FBG/ (CFBC boiler operation technology) working as per the prescribed manner

Monitoring boiler operations with design parameters through DCS To check trends in DCS panel of critical parameters.

Ensure safety by monitoring safety equipment, identifying potential issues and taking appropriate steps to suspend operations and repair the problem.

Logging of all critical readings in Logbook

Constantly inspect water, gas, coal and steam quality.

To operate FBG in proper Manner as per OEM recommendation.

Monitor & maintain all Deaerator parameters within specified range.





Monitor & maintain all water quality parameters (Boiler Related) within specified range.

Maintain ash handling system in the boiler area.

Carry out cleaning activities in boiler & prepare boiler for annual shutdown passing. Monitor operation of CHP plant

Observes boiler and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and makes repairs, such as changing burners and tightening pipes and fittings.

Recovery of steam, condensate Water.

Willingness to work in FBG/AFBC boilers

Required Knowledge (of any equipment / Tools and techniques / Software)

- DCS operation

Education & Experience

Education

Essential: Diploma in Mechanical with CFBC experience

Preferred: Experience on High Pressure / CFBC Boiler /AFBC Boiler

Experience

Essential: 4-5 Years in CFBC Boiler operations

Preferred: 4 5 Years Experience in CFBC Boiler Operations.

Competencies / Skills

Essential

- Sound knowledge of boiler operations
- Knowledge of boiler Safety
- Alertness
- Knowledge of performance monitoring

Preferred:
- Critical thinking
- Communication Skills
