1. Job Purpose To manage day-to-day HR operations, payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee records, recruitment coordination and plant administration while ensuring smooth and disciplined HR & Admin operations at the manufacturing facility.
The role will be responsible for supporting both shop-floor workers and staff employees and coordinating closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, PPC, Stores and other departments.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR activities for staff and shop-floor employees.
- Maintain accurate and updated employee personal files and HR records.
- Handle employee joining, induction, documentation and onboarding formalities.
- Manage employee confirmation, transfers, promotions and exit formalities.
- Maintain attendance, leave and overtime records.
- Address employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, salary and benefits.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Maintain HR MIS and prepare monthly HR reports.
- Coordinate employee communication regarding company policies, rules and procedures.
- Support disciplinary actions, warning letters, show-cause notices and absenteeism cases.
B. Payroll Management
- Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and within defined timelines.
- Verify attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions and other payroll inputs.
- Coordinate with payroll processing vendors, if applicable.
- Handle salary-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare salary statements and payroll MIS.
- Process full & final settlement for exiting employees.
- Ensure proper calculation of statutory deductions and employee benefits.
- Maintain payroll-related records and documentation.
C. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Coordinate monthly statutory returns, challans and payments with consultants/vendors.
- Maintain statutory registers and employee compliance records.
- Support labour inspections, audits and statutory documentation.
- Maintain records related to contractors and contract labour compliance.
- Monitor compliance related to minimum wages, working hours, overtime and leave requirements.
D. Factory Administration
- Manage day-to-day plant administrative activities.
- Coordinate housekeeping, security, transport, canteen and other facility services.
- Monitor attendance and performance of security/housekeeping/canteen agencies.
- Manage employee welfare facilities.
- Coordinate uniforms, ID cards, PPE and other employee requirements.
- Maintain office and administrative records.
- Coordinate maintenance of common facilities and workplace infrastructure.
- Support purchase/procurement of routine HR & Admin requirements.
- Ensure proper implementation of workplace rules and discipline.
E. Canteen & Employee Welfare
- Monitor canteen operations and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the canteen contractor/vendor.
- Maintain subsidized canteen records, if applicable.
- Monitor employee welfare facilities.
- Handle employee welfare-related requirements and complaints.
- Support statutory welfare requirements applicable to the manufacturing plant.

3. Manufacturing HR Responsibilities The candidate should have practical exposure to HR activities in a manufacturing environment, including:
- Shop-floor manpower management

Software Skills

4. Desired Candidate Profile
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in HR, Payroll & Administration, preferably from a manufacturing company.
- Experience in handling both staff and shop-floor workforce.
- Good exposure to payroll and statutory compliance.
- Should be comfortable working in a factory/plant environment.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
- Valuable communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi will be preferred.
- Should be proactive, disciplined, responsible and approachable.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
