.Role & responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchase, Stores and Inventory Management functions

- Develop strategic procurement and material planning strategies

- Forecast material requirements based on production, maintenance and project ensuring timely availability of critical raw materials, consumables, spares and equipment.

- Lead domestic and international sourcing, including RFQ/tendering, technical and commercial evaluation, vendor finalization, contract negotiation and purchase order management.

- Develop and manage a robust vendor and supplier network, including strategic sourcing, vendor development, performance evaluation and alternate source development for critical materials.

- Oversee multiple stores and warehouses, ensuring optimum inventory levels, accurate stock management, proper material preservation, efficient storage practices and reduction of slow-moving and obsolete inventory.

- Drive procurement cost optimization, value engineering,



working capital improvement and inventory reduction while maintaining required quality, reliability and uninterrupted plant operations.

- Establish strong procurement governance, SOPs, controls, ERP/SAP processes, MIS reporting and supply-chain performance metrics across all locations.

- Lead and develop high-performing procurement and stores teams while driving strategic decision-making, process improvement, digitalization, risk management and continuous improvement across the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

- 1525 years of overall experience, with significant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Purchase and Stores / Materials Management.

- Robust experience in a steel, metals, power, heavy engineering, manufacturing or EPC environment.

- Proven experience in managing high-value domestic and international procurement and strategic vendor relationships.
