Role Description The Video Editor role at Filming Inside is a full-time, in office position based in Uttarakhand.
The Video
Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting the best takes, and creating polished, cohesive videos that align with project goals and brand guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include cutting and sequencing clips, adding transitions, color correction, basic motion graphics, and sound syncing or enhancement. The role also involves collaborating with directors, producers, and other team members to refine storylines, incorporate feedback, and ensure timely delivery of final assets for digital, social, and broadcast channels.
The Video
Editor is expected to maintain organized project files, follow established workflows, and contribute creative ideas to improve overall content quality.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Experience with basic motion graphics and visual effects using tools like Adobe After Effects or similar.
- Skills in color correction, grading, and sound editing to enhance overall video quality.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, build clear narratives, and maintain consistent brand tone and style.
- Strong organizational skills, including media management, file naming, and version control.
- Prior experience in a video production or post-production environment, preferably in a creative or media setting.
- Attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines, and openness to constructive feedback and collaboration.
- A relevant degree or certification in film, media, communication, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing work across different formats (short-form, long-form, social media, etc.).
