About the Role

We are looking for a Utilities Accountant with strong hands-on experience in US Accounting and financial reporting, preferably within utilities, energy, power, water or infrastructure-related businesses. The ideal candidate should have experience with General Ledger, revenue accounting, reconciliations, fixed assets, capital expenditure, month-end close and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage accounting activities for US utility operations.
- Maintain General Ledger records and accounting schedules.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
- Support utility revenue and billing-related accounting.
- Reconcile billed and collected revenue.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Support AP and AR activities.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
- Track capital expenditure.
- Support month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare P&L; and Balance Sheet reports.
- Perform revenue and expense variance analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting.




- Prepare management reports and financial schedules.
- Support audits and regulatory accounting requirements.
- Identify accounting process improvements.

Key Software SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, ERP Systems and Utility Billing Systems.

Accounting & Compliance Knowledge

US GAAP, Utilities Accounting, Energy Accounting, Utility Revenue, Billing Accounting, Metered Revenue, General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Capital Expenditure, Depreciation, Month-End Close, Financial Reporting, Variance Analysis and Regulatory Accounting.

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or related field.
- CA/CPA/CMA/ACCA preferred.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong US Accounting and US GAAP knowledge.
- Utilities/Energy/Power/Water accounting experience preferred.
- Strong GL, revenue and reconciliation experience.
- Exposure to fixed assets and CAPEX accounting.
- Robust Excel skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working from office in Sector 90, Noida.
