Role Summary
We're looking for a skilled Tolerance Management Engineer responsible for 3D tolerance analysis, variation simulation, and tolerance management using 3DCS — ensuring product designs meet functional, dimensional, and assembly requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform 3D tolerance stack-up and variation analysis using 3DCS
Create and analyze 3DCS models for assemblies and components
Conduct Monte Carlo simulations and statistical tolerance analysis
Identify critical dimensions and contributors affecting assembly variation and product quality
Develop tolerance stack-ups based on functional requirements
Support GD&T; application and tolerance optimization
Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams
Recommend suitable tolerance allocation and optimization to improve product robustness
Analyze assembly variation, gap & flush, misalignment and dimensional issues
Support root-cause analysis of dimensional and assembly problems
Prepare tolerance analysis reports and present findings to engineering teams
Review engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for dimensional and tolerance requirements
- Support DFMA, design optimization and process capability activities
Required Skills:
Hands-on experience with 3DCS Variation Analyst
Strong knowledge of GD&T; – ASME Y14.5
Experience in 3D tolerance stack-up and variation analysis
Valuable understanding of datum schemes, tolerance allocation and statistical analysis
Knowledge of assembly processes and manufacturing variation
Ability to interpret 2D drawings, CAD models and engineering specifications
Experience with CATIA V5 / NX / Creo is preferred
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
