Role Description

n

We are looking for a Service Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our team in Bengaluru.

n

This is a full-time, on-site, field-based role involving regular travel to customer locations, primarily across Bengaluru and Bengaluru South.

n

The Service Engineer will be responsible for routine and preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of forklifts and other material handling equipment.

n

The role involves inspecting equipment, identifying faults, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, carrying out repairs and completing service documentation accurately.

n

You will work closely with customers and the internal service team to provide timely technical support, ensure equipment uptime and maintain high safety and service standards.

n

This role is particularly suited for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, customer interaction, field travel and gaining exposure to different industrial environments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of forklifts and material handling equipment.
n
- Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
n




- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out appropriate corrective actions.
n
- Attend customer sites for service calls, inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting.
n
- Support installation, commissioning and equipment-related service activities.
n
- Ensure service work is completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timelines.
n
- Prepare accurate service reports, job cards and maintenance records.
n
- Communicate service findings, technical issues and recommended corrective actions clearly to customers.
n
- Coordinate with the internal service team to ensure timely resolution of customer requirements.
n
- Follow manufacturer guidelines, company procedures and applicable safety standards.
n
- Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, wiring diagrams and service instructions.
n
- Identify recurring equipment issues and communicate them to the service team.
n
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction.
n
- Maintain a high standard of safety while working in warehouses, industrial sites and outdoor environments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
n
- 2–3 years of relevant hands-on experience in field service, material handling equipment, forklifts, industrial equipment, automotive service or a closely related field.
n
- Practical experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
n
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
n
- Experience with forklifts or other material handling equipment will be an added advantage.
n
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, diagrams and service instructions.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
n
- Ability to interact professionally with customers and understand their service requirements.
n
- Must be currently based in Bengaluru.
n
- Must be willing to travel regularly to customer locations.

- A valid driving licence is preferred.
n

Important Eligibility Note

n

This is not an entry-level position.

n

Candidates must have 2–3 years of relevant hands-on service, maintenance or field-service experience.

n

Candidates without relevant experience in service, maintenance, industrial equipment, material handling equipment, automotive service or a related technical field will not be considered.

n

A degree alone is not sufficient for this position. For example, candidates with a Computer Science/IT degree and no relevant hands-on service or field experience will not be considered.
