– TGT Teacher

Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

Subjects: English / Mathematics / Social Science

Classes: VI – X

Department: Academics

Reporting To: Head of Department / Academic Coordinator / Principal

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose To plan and deliver engaging, effective, and learner-centred lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring students develop strong subject knowledge, critical thinking, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and positive learning habits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons as per the CBSE curriculum and academic plan.
- Use innovative, interactive, and experiential teaching methodologies.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching-learning materials, worksheets, and other academic resources.
- Ensure effective classroom transaction and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Integrate technology and digital resources appropriately into teaching.
- Relate concepts to real-life situations and encourage application-based learning.

2. Subject-Specific Responsibilities TGT – English

- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, and communication skills.
- Teach grammar, literature, vocabulary, and language skills effectively.
- Encourage creative writing, comprehension, discussions, presentations, and literary activities.
- Promote reading habits and effective use of language.

TGT – Mathematics

- Develop conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning.
- Teach mathematical concepts using practical examples and activity-based methods.
- Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, analytical skills, and application of concepts.
- Provide additional support and remedial instruction to students who require it.

TGT – Social Science





- Teach History, Geography, Political Science/Civics, and Economics as applicable.
- Develop students' understanding of society, environment, governance, culture, and contemporary issues.
- Encourage critical thinking, research, discussions, debates, projects, and presentations.
- Connect classroom concepts with real-world events and everyday life.

3. Assessment & Academic Monitoring

- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per school guidelines.
- Prepare question papers, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessment materials.
- Evaluate student work accurately and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain academic records and track individual student progress.
- Identify learning gaps and implement remedial/enrichment strategies.

4. Classroom Management

- Maintain a positive, inclusive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Establish clear classroom routines and behavioural expectations.
- Encourage student participation, collaboration, and independent learning.
- Address students' academic and behavioural concerns appropriately.

5. Student Development

- Mentor and guide students in academic and personal development.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support.
- Encourage participation in co-curricular, inter-house, club, and school activities.
- Promote values, life skills, teamwork, creativity, and responsible citizenship.





6. Parent & School Coordination

- Communicate students' academic progress and areas of improvement to parents.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic reviews.
- Coordinate with HODs, coordinators, counsellors, and fellow teachers.
- Contribute to school events, assemblies, competitions, exhibitions, and other activities.

7. Career development

- Participate actively in faculty development programmes, workshops, training, and CBSE-related capacity-building initiatives.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes, assessment practices, pedagogical approaches, and educational technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching effectiveness.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-education qualification from a recognised institution.
- Candidates should meet the applicable qualification requirements for teaching at the secondary level. CBSE's published qualification framework specifies graduation with B.Ed./equivalent for Classes IX–X, subject to the applicable rules and current requirements. (CBSE Academic)

Preferred:

- Master's Degree in the relevant subject.
- CTET/TET qualification, wherever applicable.
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.

Experience

- 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/State Board school preferred.
- Experience teaching Classes VI–X will be an advantage.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge and strong communication/pedagogical skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
