Role Description The Textile Designer role at Mitaara is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur.

The Textile

Designer will develop original fabric concepts, including patterns, prints, and surface embellishments that align with the brand’s aesthetic and market needs.

Responsibilities include creating design boards, sketching and rendering motifs, preparing repeat patterns, coordinating with printers and artisans, and ensuring accurate translation of designs onto fabric. The role also involves researching trends in Indian textiles and global fashion,



collaborating with the production and marketing teams, and maintaining digital archives of designs and samples.

The Textile

Designer will participate in quality checks for samples, refine designs based on feedback, and help build cohesive collections for various product lines.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Textile Prints and Textiles, with experience in developing patterns and fabric concepts.
- Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design for creating digital artwork, repeats, and print layouts.
- Ability to use design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools) for textile and graphic work.
- Positive understanding of color theory, fabric behavior, and print production processes.
- Relevant education in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to translate concept inspiration into finished designs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in a studio and workshop environment in Jaipur.
