Position: Tekla Steel Checker – Mid-Level to Senior Level

Location: Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tekla Steel Checker with strong knowledge of Tekla Structures and AISC Standards. The candidate will be responsible for checking structural steel models and drawings to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and check Tekla Structures 3D models for accuracy and completeness.
- Check fabrication, erection, GA, assembly, and single-part drawings.
- Verify steel members, dimensions, connections, bolts, welds, and materials.
- Ensure detailing complies with AISC Standards and project specifications.
- Review models and drawings against structural and engineering drawings.
- Identify errors, clashes, missing information, and detailing issues.
- Provide clear comments and corrections to Modelers and Detailers.
- Coordinate with Engineers, Modelers, Detailers, and Project Managers.
- Review revisions and ensure all comments are incorporated correctly.
- Check drawing quality, constructability,



and fabrication requirements.
- Ensure deliverables meet project schedules and company quality standards.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Tekla Structures.
- Good knowledge of AISC Standards.
- Strong understanding of structural steel detailing and fabrication.
- Good knowledge of steel connections, bolts, welds, and structural members.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and engineering drawings.
- Strong checking and quality-control skills.
- Positive attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Experience
- Mid-Level: 3–5 years of relevant structural steel checking experience.
- Senior-Level: 5–8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with US structural steel projects is preferred.

Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Preferred: Immediate joiners. Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
