Role Description The Technical Writer | OLOID is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for planning, writing, and maintaining transparent, accurate, and user-focused documentation for OLOID’s products and platforms, including user guides, API references, configuration manuals, and release notes.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with product managers, engineers, and customer success teams to gather technical information, translating complex concepts into accessible content for diverse audiences, and organizing documentation in a structured, reusable format.
The Technical
Writer will ensure consistency in terminology and style, manage documentation versions as products evolve, and continuously improve content based on user feedback. The role also involves contributing to internal knowledge bases and supporting enablement materials for customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product documentation, user/admin guides,
configuration guides, integration guides, troubleshooting articles, and release notes.
- Understand complex product workflows and translate them into simple, task-oriented documentation.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Support, and Professional Services teams.
- Manage documentation using GitHub-based workflows , including branches, commits, pull requests, and reviews.
- Create and maintain documentation using Mintlify or similar documentation platforms .
- Review documentation for technical accuracy, consistency, usability, and completeness.
- Keep documentation aligned with product releases and feature updates.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8 years of technical writing experience, preferably in a SaaS/B2B product company.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub and Git-based documentation workflows.
- Experience with Mintlify, GitBook, Docusaurus, ReadMe, MkDocs , or similar documentation platforms.
- Good knowledge of Markdown/MDX and Docs-as-Code .
- Strong technical writing, editing, and information-organization skills.
- Ability to independently understand and test software workflows.
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, APIs, SSO, IAM, authentication, or cybersecurity products is a plus.
