Functions/work profile: (Role Overview)
The Senior Executive officer /Asst. Director (Training) will function as a faculty member and hands-on trainer in the areas of Automation, Process design, Manufacturing, industrial technology and related areas. The role involves delivering and developing classroom and practical training sessions, maintaining machine shop infrastructure, and supporting skill development initiatives for engineering students and industry professionals.
Functions
- Curriculum Development: Design and create comprehensive training programs for advanced manufacturing technologies, including topics such as automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, IoT applications, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
- Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions to employees, ranging from beginners to advanced learners, ensuring they gain a deep understanding of the subject matter and can effectively apply it in real-world manufacturing settings.
- Hands-on Demonstrations: Organize and facilitate practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises to enable participants to practice using advanced manufacturing technologies and tools.
- Training Materials: Develop and maintain high-quality training materials, including presentations, manuals, guides, and online resources to support the learning process.
- Skill Assessment: Assess the progress and competence of trainees, provide constructive feedback, and adapt training methods as needed to address individual learning needs.
- Technology Updates: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in advanced manufacturing technologies trends and integrate this knowledge into the training programs to ensure relevancy.
- Customer Engagement:
Work closely with the customers in manufacturing sector and other stakeholders to understand their specific training requirements and tailor training programs accordingly.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Training Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and trainee performance to track the impact of the training program.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. Experience requirements: Automation, Process design, Manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field with around 10 years of experience. Relevant certifications in advanced manufacturing technologies or training and development would be advantageous.

- Role of sensors in facilitating industrial automation
- Overview of Communication and Networking
- Overview of Programming Techniques
- Creating & Editing Ladder Logic Program
- Hands-on practice in simulators
- HMI Basics & Features
- HMI Screen Building
- Integrating Sensors, PLC and HMI
- Live Examples of working on PLC and HMI
- Robot Programming & Operation
- Industry 4.0 and IIOT concepts and implementation.
- Training Experience: Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs related to advanced manufacturing technologies, ideally in a corporate or industrial setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to a diverse audience.
- Instructional Design: Strong skills in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning principles to create effective and engaging training materials.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and roadblocks in the learning process and implement innovative solutions to address them effectively.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility to adjust training approaches based on the learning styles and needs of trainees.
- Team Player: Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to understand their training requirements and integrate them into the training program.
