Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead / Engineering Lead with strong Backend Python expertise to lead backend development, system architecture, scalability, and technical delivery across fintech and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Python, FastAPI, Django, REST APIs, microservices, cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, databases, production troubleshooting, RCA, and high-volume transactional systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead backend engineering and architecture decisions across platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-availability backend systems.
- Lead Backend Python development standards, code quality, API architecture, and backend service scalability across the engineering team.
- Define engineering standards, coding practices, and architecture guidelines.
- Lead modernization initiatives including microservices and platform scalability.
- Own production stability, critical incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Improve observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting practices.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Infrastructure teams.




- Manage technical delivery timelines and engineering execution.
- Reduce technical debt and improve long-term maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on Backend Python development experience.
- Strong experience with Python, FastAPI, Django, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL optimization.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend architecture.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or similar.
- Strong debugging, production support, and incident management experience.
- Experience leading engineering teams and technical delivery.

Preferred Experience

- FinTech, payment gateway, banking, or regulated industry experience.
- Experience with high-volume transactional systems.
- Exposure to PCI DSS, SOC2, security, or compliance environments.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, queues, and asynchronous processing.
