Position: VMware Administrator

Experience: 6-8 Years

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer, maintain, and support VMware vSphere infrastructure in a large enterprise workplace.

- Manage ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, clusters, resource pools, and virtual machines.

- Perform VM provisioning, migration, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning activities.

- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity, and availability.

- Implement and manage VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion.

- Troubleshoot virtualization-related incidents and perform root cause analysis.

- Work closely with storage, backup, network, and server teams for infrastructure operations.

- Participate in change management, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.

- Ensure compliance with operational standards, security policies,



and ITIL processes.

Required Skills:

- 6-8 years of experience in VMware Administration.

- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.

- Experience in managing VMware clusters, HA, DRS, and vMotion.

- Good knowledge of virtual networking, distributed switches, and storage integration.

- Experience with VM performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.

- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions in VMware environments.

- Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
