- L1 Activities (Monitoring Basic Operations)
- i. Perform daily health checks to monitor LUNs, aggregates, and volume utilization
- ii. Monitor and manage network interfaces
- iii. Check status of aggregates and volume usage
- iv. Monitor ticketing tools and emails for incidents/requests
- v. Work with Change, Incident, and Problem Management processes
- vi. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution
- vii. Identify and mitigate issues proactively
- viii. Basic knowledge of ransomware protection, IRE, and Airgap mechanisms
- L2 Activities (Administration Advanced Support)
- i. Monitor and manage NetApp OnCommand Unified Manager (alerts, capacity, performance)
- ii. Configure and support CIFS and NFS shares
- iii. Perform data restoration using SnapRestore and CIFS shares
- iv. Manage permissions for CIFS shares (user/group access control)
- v.
Manage
Snapshots, LUN Clone, and FlexClone
- vi. Configure and troubleshoot V-Filer environments
- vii. Perform LUN management (creation, snapshots, igroup management, restore) using SnapDrive
- viii. Configure and troubleshoot NFS, CIFS, and SAN (FC/iSCSI) environments
- ix. Generate and manage reports using Operations Manager
- x. Manage qtrees for efficient storage utilization
- xi. Coordinate with vendors for hardware issue resolution
- xii. Configure and troubleshoot SnapVault setting
- xiii. Perform DR drills and testing
- xiv. Install, configure, and manage storage arrays (EMC VMAX/PowerMax, IBM SVC/ESS)
- xv.
Experience with EMC storage platforms: PowerMax, XtremIO, Unity
- xvi. Perform RAID and LUN management along with host integration
- xvii. Manage Brocade SAN switches (zoning, configuration, maintenance)
- xviii. Work with Brocade SANNav and Cisco MDS SAN switches
- xix. Perform routine maintenance (backup, restore, performance monitoring)
- L3 Activities (Architecture, Governance Leadership)
- i. Define and monitor performance metrics for the team
- ii. Ensure adherence to SLAs and maintain storage performance standards
- iii. Prepare SOPs, runbooks, and documentation for operations
- iv. Lead technical escalations and coordinate with OEM/vendors
- v. Analyze complex issues and provide solutions
- vi. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques and decision-making
- vii. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- viii. Work across teams to drive outcomes
- ix. Manage BAU operations and support IT strategy execution
- x. Ensure uninterrupted IT services and coordinate with user groups
- xi. Manage service levels, resource planning, and coordination
- xii. Support selection of storage hardware/software solutions
- xiii. Drive process improvements in service delivery
- xiv. Provide support to design and presales teams
- xv. Handle audit requirements and documentation submissions
- xvi. Manage BCP, DR activities, and outage recovery
- xvii.
Configure monitoring alerts and optimize thresholds
