Role Description This full-time, on-site Steel Sourcing and Sales Manager role is based in Gurgaon. The position is responsible for identifying and qualifying steel suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely procurement to meet customer and project requirements.

The manager oversees end-to-end sales activities, including lead generation, preparation of quotations, order processing, and post-sales support to maintain solid client relationships. Daily responsibilities include monitoring market trends, coordinating with logistics and finance teams, tracking inventory and delivery schedules, and preparing regular reports on sourcing, sales performance, and margins. The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, optimize costs, maintain compliance with company policies, and support strategic business growth in the steel segment.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in steel sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation within the metals or manufacturing sector.




- Proven track record in B2B sales, customer relationship management, and achieving revenue and margin targets.
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and reporting abilities, with comfort using spreadsheets and ERP or procurement systems.
- Solid understanding of steel products, pricing drivers, logistics processes, and basic commercial terms (Incoterms, payment terms, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Ability to work in office in Gurgaon, manage multiple priorities, and make data-informed decisions under time constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in international trade, import/export operations, or working with global suppliers is beneficial.
