SQL Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Developer with 6 years of experience and advanced expertise in SQL programming, relational databases, and data transformation processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data modelling, query optimization, and processing of both structured and unstructured data. Experience with Python programming is a plus.

This role will play a pivotal part in expanding our data management capabilities incorporating automation and intelligence across database workflows and supporting business intelligence, analytics, and reporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust database solutions and data

transformation systems using advanced SQL techniques.
- Transform and process large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity,

quality, and consistency.
- Build and optimize efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation across

relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
- Leverage advanced SQL techniques stored procedures, triggers, indexing,

partitioning, window functions, error handling, and transaction management to solve complex data challenges.
- Implement data models and structures to support business intelligence, analytics, and

reporting initiatives.
- Architect and implement automated solutions to enhance database intelligence and

support next-generation analytics.
- Work with AWS cloud services related to database management (AWS RDS, Athena,

S3, Lambda, etc.).
- Integrate real-time data streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis) into database

workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver

innovative database solutions.




- Stay abreast of emerging database technologies and proactively recommend

improvements.

Technical Skills

- SQL Programming (Advanced): Query optimization, stored procedures, triggers,

indexing, partitioning, window functions, error handling, transaction management, and scalable database code best practices. Tools: SQL Server Management Studio,

pgAdmin, Oracle SQL Developer.

- Data Modeling & Transformation (Advanced): ETL design, processing structured and

unstructured data, data quality and integrity.
- Relational Databases (Advanced): Query building and optimization; exposure to

MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.; ORM experience optional.
- Cloud Technologies: Good experience with AWS database services (RDS, Athena, S3,

Lambda, etc.).
- Programming Paradigms: Functional and Object-Oriented Programming —

intermediate level for scripting and automation tasks.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for feature development

and automation. Preferred / Good to Have

- Python scripting for data transformation, automation, or database integration;

familiarity with Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or similar libraries.
- Exposure to database automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt) and

integrating automation scripts into database workflows.
- Experience with real-time data streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced, agile environment.
