DESIGN ENGINEER – SPM AUTOMATION

Experience: 3–6 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering

Location: Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai

Job Responsibilities

- Design and develop SPM and Automation machines based on project requirements.
- Design fixtures, jigs and cavities for automation applications.
- Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare accurate 2D manufacturing drawings and layouts.
- Design component holding, locating and clamping mechanisms.
- Develop fixture and cavity concepts based on component drawings.
- Check dimensions, tolerances, clearances and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with machining, assembly, electrical and production teams.
- Modify designs based on assembly, trial and customer requirements.
- Support machine assembly and resolve design-related issues during trials.





Mandatory Skills

- 3–6 years of relevant experience in SPM & Automation Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
- Mandatory experience in Fixture & Cavity Design.
- Positive knowledge of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to understand component drawings and develop suitable fixture concepts.
- Experience in SPM / Special Purpose Machine / Industrial Automation is mandatory.

Important Only experienced candidates with relevant SPM Automation Design experience can apply.
