About the Role

We are looking for a technically robust and detail-oriented Design Engineer – Renewable Energy to join our Engineering & Design team.

The candidate will be responsible for the electrical design and engineering of Solar PV projects, with a primary focus on ground-mounted and utility-scale solar projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Solar PV electrical design, SLD preparation, DC/AC system design, cable sizing, HT/LT systems, substation design, PVsyst, AutoCAD, and grid connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Design & Engineering

- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for Solar PV projects.
- Prepare electrical layouts, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and interconnection drawings.
- Carry out DC and AC system design for solar PV plants.
- Perform cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, and electrical design calculations.
- Prepare and review BOQ/BOM, technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and engineering documents.
- Prepare and review electrical systems for 11 kV, 33 kV, and 66 kV.
- Support the design and engineering of substations and associated electrical systems.
- Prepare designs for earthing, lightning protection, auxiliary power systems, and electrical distribution systems.





PVsyst & Solar Plant Optimization
- Support PVsyst simulation and energy yield analysis.
- Assist in solar plant design optimization based on energy generation, system losses, equipment selection, and project requirements.
- Review plant electrical design to ensure efficient and execution-friendly solutions.

Vendor & Project Coordination
- Review vendor drawings, technical specifications, datasheets, and other engineering documents.
- Coordinate with Civil, Procurement, Project Execution, Vendors, Consultants, and Clients.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with project schedules and execution requirements.
- Provide technical clarification and support to project and site teams.

Site & Commissioning Support
- Provide technical support to site teams for design-related issues during project execution.
- Participate in site visits when required.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Identify design discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.

- Client specifications
- Applicable grid connectivity requirements




- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to approved engineering standards.

- Experience in HT electrical systems, 33 kV/66 kV systems, grid connectivity, and solar plant electrical design will be an advantage.
