Role Description The Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend systems that support The Agentic Loop’s content, learning programs, and community products. In this full-time remote role, the engineer will implement APIs, data pipelines, and integrations with AI models and tools, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. Day-to-day work includes writing clean, maintainable code, reviewing contributions from collaborators, and optimizing systems based on product and user feedback.





The engineer will collaborate with product and editorial teams to turn AI-focused concepts into usable features, prototypes, and internal tools. The role also involves monitoring production systems, improving developer workflows, and contributing to technical documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with experience in at least one modern language such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.
- Experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful or GraphQL APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain production-grade services, with attention to scalability, reliability, and security.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tooling, APIs, or agent frameworks is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment and collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a genuine interest in agentic AI and developer education.
