PROJECT SALES ENGINEER / EXECUTIVE

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Sales professional with experience in the pump industry, water management, industrial equipment, or engineering products. The candidate will be responsible for developing project business, managing consultants and contractors, identifying new project opportunities, and driving sales from enquiry generation to order closure.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new project sales opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Generate business through EPC contractors, consultants, builders, developers, industries, and project customers.
- Develop relationships with MEP consultants, project consultants, architects, contractors, and purchase teams.
- Identify upcoming projects in sectors such as:
- Water & Wastewater Treatment

- Industrial Projects

- Infrastructure

- Commercial Buildings

- Residential Projects
- STP / ETP / WTP
- HVAC & Plumbing
- Irrigation & Agriculture
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial quotations based on project requirements.
- Understand project specifications, pump selection, flow/head requirements, and application requirements.
- Coordinate with the technical/design team for pump selection and technical proposals.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, and purchase orders.
- Track projects from enquiry specification quotation negotiation order closure.
- Ensure company products are approved/specifed by consultants and project teams.
- Conduct regular market and project visits to identify recent opportunities.




- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product positioning, and market trends.
- Coordinate with internal teams for order execution, dispatch, installation, and after-sales support.
- Maintain regular sales reports, project pipeline, MIS, and forecast.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of pumps and pumping systems.
- Experience in project sales / institutional sales / industrial sales.
- Good understanding of pump applications, technical specifications, and selection.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to interact with consultants, contractors, EPC companies, and end customers.
- Strong project tracking and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2–7 years of experience in project sales, preferably in the pump, water treatment, HVAC, plumbing, or industrial equipment industry.
- Candidates with experience handling EPC projects, consultants, contractors, builders, and industrial customers will be preferred.
- Experience with brands/products such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, booster systems, sewage pumps, dewatering pumps, or industrial pumps will be an advantage.
