Job Summary

- As a SOC Intern, you will work alongside our SOC analysts and gain practical exposure to security monitoring, alert analysis, incident investigation, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity operations.

- The role is designed for candidates who want to transition into a SOC Analyst career.

Responsibilities

- Assist SOC analysts with monitoring security alerts.

- Perform basic alert validation and categorization.

- Assist with investigation of suspicious activities.

- Review security logs and identify unusual events.

- Support documentation of security incidents and investigations.

- Assist with maintaining SOC knowledge-base articles and documentation.

- Participate in shift handovers and SOC operational activities.

- Assist with preparation of security reports.

- Research current cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.

- Learn and follow SOC SOPs, playbooks, and investigation procedures.

- Support vulnerability scanning and basic vulnerability analysis when required.

Candidate Profile

- Degree/Diploma in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Basic understanding of networking and operating systems.

- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interest in Security Operations and Cybersecurity.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment.

- Willingness to work rotational shifts, if required.

Valuable to Have

- Knowledge of Linux and Windows.

- Security+ / SC-900 / SC-200 or equivalent training.

- Cybersecurity lab or CTF experience.

- Personal projects related to cybersecurity.
