Position - Site Mechanical Quality Engineer - Third Party Payroll 1 Year and extendable contract

Location - Kurnool / Kadapa

Education - Diploma / BE / B Tech - Mechanical / Production

Industry - Power Waste to Energy - BTG (Static / Rotating / Piping)

Experience - 4-8 years of experience in QA/QC within power plant construction or heavy industrial projects.

Role Description A Site Quality Engineer Ensures all mechanical construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with technical specifications, codes, and safety standards. Key duties include inspecting equipment (turbines, boilers, piping), managing Non-Conformance Reports

(NCR), reviewing inspection and test plans {ITP), and maintaining quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Inspections: Conduct daily site inspections of mechanical installations (rotating/static equipment, welding, piping, painting) to verify compliance with drawings and standards.
- Documentation: Review and approve Material Acceptance Reports (MAR),Develop and review Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements,



Maintain detailed QA/QC records, including weld logs, calibration certificates
- NCR Management: Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, conduct root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.
- Commissioning Support: Oversee pre-commissioning tests to ensure system integrity.
- Audits & Compliance: Conduct internal and subcontractor audits, ensuring adherence to the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records for final project handover.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of ASME standards. NOT methods (RT, UT, PT, MT) DPT, SR.

Common Competencies
- Welding inspection (welding procedures WPS/PQR).
- Piping and structural steel installation.
- Rotating equipment alignment.
- MS Office & Document Control
