Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Site

Engineer will oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with civil engineers, contractors, and vendors, monitoring quality control at each stage, and verifying materials and workmanship against company standards. The role involves conducting site inspections, maintaining project documentation, and reporting progress, issues, and risks to project managers.

Engineer will also support structural engineering implementation, resolve technical queries in office, and help ensure timely, cost-effective completion of projects in line with Navin’s quality benchmarks.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong on-site supervision skills, including experience managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to interact with project teams, contractors, clients, and internal departments, and to prepare clear reports and documentation.
- Candidates should possess quality control capabilities, including experience with inspection, material verification, adherence to standards, and implementation of safety and compliance procedures.
- Candidates should possess structural engineering and civil engineering knowledge, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, codes, and apply them to site execution.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field; prior experience as a Site Engineer in residential or commercial construction is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic construction management tools and MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and readiness to work full time on-site in Chennai.
