- Job Purpose

Aid the Head Construction Manager in Project Execution and give necessary inputs and guidance to various project execution team regarding civil construction those are being erected so that seamless execution of project can be done.
- Dimensions:

Project site would involve respective contractors and agencies working at site. Work would happen in all the three shifts.

All the safety related basic infrastructure need to be build ground up.

Civil and structural work need to be completed at the site. Civil construction is an important part of the same.

- Job Context & Major Challenges:

Job Context Hindalco is proposing to set up a recent extrusion facility to manufacture specialized Aluminium extrusion product for electronics, automotive, industrial machinery etc. The total envisaged capacity is 7.5 KT. The project is proposed to be co-located at existing Extrusion Facility at Kuppam, Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh. The Kuppam facility is being developed as a hub for specialized aluminium alloy extrusions to cater to key market segments such as electronics, automotive, industrial machinery, and consumer durables The project will require key equipment like Induction Melting Furnace, Electric Holding Furnace, Electric Homogenising Furnaces, DC Casting,



9” Extrusion Press, Ageing Ovens, Fabrication and Cutting Machines, Electrolytic Degreasing and other related material handling & utility systems.

Job Challenges

There is no basic infrastructure available at the site. The necessary infrastructure needs to be conceived and erected for ensuring smooth Erection of the equipment.

Management in Project Execution and give necessary inputs and guidance to various project execution team regarding Utility constructions those are being erected so that seamless execution of project can be done.

- Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

Supporting Actions Finalization of technical specifications of Civil Construction Understand Civil Engineering drawing & execution requirements with proper planning & sequencing the jobs.

Should be able to work with detailed engineering consultants to develop Civil drawings.

Developing BOQ for Civil construction

Once the specifications made develop the BoQ for civil construction

Evaluation and approval of foundation drawings

Evaluate the foundation drawings made and approve the same.

Monitor and authorize changes to this drawing.

Ensure safety practices are implemented at site.

Aid the safety team in preparing safety guidelines for the project site.

Implement SOP and safety protocol for each activity that needs to be carried out.

Ensure that project personnel are trained and would follow the safety guidelines issued to them.

Audit the activity done by the project execution teams.

Enforce the safety system





Monitor the activities done construction teams for timely completion of the project.

Coordinate the activities of different construction groups so as to meet the overall time and cost target.

Ensuring that the standards / specifications fixed by the Design team in adhered during the construction

Audit the process done to ensure that the standards and specification is adhered at all times during the construction

Generate all plant drawings in the process

Generate and record all plant related drawings and create a system for its easy storage and retrieval.
