Role: Service now Lead Developer- SAM

Experience & Qualification:

· 6–10 years total experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

Role Summary:

Looking for an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer with strong expertise in SAM (Software Asset Management) to design, implement, and optimize software asset lifecycle, license management, and compliance solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

· 6–10 years of overall ServiceNow development experience with minimum 5+ years in SAM

· Strong expertise in ServiceNow SAM Pro (Software Asset Management Professional)

· Hands-on experience in:

o Software Asset Lifecycle (procurement to retirement)

o License Management, Compliance, and Reconciliation

· Strong understanding of:

o Software entitlement, normalization, and license metrics o CMDB relationships and ITAM processes

· Experience in:

o Data imports, reconciliation, and asset normalization o SAM compliance reporting and dashboards

· Solid development experience in:

o JavaScript, Glide API o Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, ACLs o Flow Designer / Workflows

· Experience in ServiceNow integrations:

o REST/SOAP APIs,



IntegrationHub, MID Server

· Hands-on experience in end-to-end ServiceNow SAM implementations/migrations

Technical Responsibilities:

· Lead design and implementation of ServiceNow SAM solutions

· Configure and customize software models, entitlements, and license rules

· Implement license reconciliation, compliance tracking, and optimization workflows

· Build integrations with discovery tools and external systems (Flexera, SCCM, etc.)

· Develop automation for software request, approval, and fulfillment processes

· Ensure data accuracy, normalization, and compliance reporting

· Drive best practices, governance, and solution standardization

· Troubleshoot issues and support deployments, upgrades, and enhancements

Certifications:

· ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Mandatory

· CIS–Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) – Preferred

Nice to Have:

· Experience with HAM / ITAM integration

· Exposure to FinOps / cloud cost optimization / licensing models

· Experience with Discovery, CMDB, and data foundations (CSDM)
