Job Purpose

Responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and after-sales technical support of plastic bag, pouch and flexible packaging machinery. The role involves extensive customer interaction, field service, technical problem-solving, and travel across India and overseas, as required.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

· Installation & Commissioning: Install, align, test and commission plastic bag/pouch-making, FFS/HFFS/VFFS, slitting, laminating, printing and related packaging machinery.

· Breakdown & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and basic PLC/automation issues to minimize machine downtime.

· Preventive Maintenance: Conduct preventive maintenance, AMC visits, machine inspections, calibration, alignment and performance checks.

· Electrical & Automation Support: Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, VFDs, servo systems, PLC/HMI, heaters and control panels.

· Process Support: Troubleshoot film feeding, web tension, sealing, cutting, punching, bag forming, zipper/spout and other pouch-making process issues.

· Customer Support & Training: Train customer operators and maintenance teams on machine operation, changeovers, preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

· Spare Parts & Technical Support: Identify defective components,



recommend spare parts and provide technical recommendations for machine upgrades or modifications.

· Warranty & AMC: Handle warranty complaints, service calls and scheduled AMC activities while ensuring timely resolution.

· Service Reporting: Prepare detailed service reports covering breakdowns, root causes, corrective actions, parts replaced and pending issues.

· Customer Relationship: Maintain professional customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Safety & Compliance: Follow all company and customer-site safety procedures, PPE requirements and LOTO practices.

· Travel: Willingness to travel extensively across India and undertake overseas assignments when required.

Key Skills

· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

· Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics

· Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD and servo systems

· Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical wiring diagrams

· Knowledge of sensors, motors, heaters, drives and instrumentation

· Good problem-solving and customer-handling skills

· Hands-on approach with strong field-service orientation

· Good communication and reporting skills

· Knowledge of flexible packaging / pouch machinery preferred

Preferred Experience

2–10 years of experience in flexible packaging machinery, plastic bag/pouch manufacturing, packaging machinery, film extrusion/converting, pouch-making machinery, industrial machinery commissioning, or field service/after-sales service.
