Job Summary
Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior VMware Virtualization Engineer to own and operate our global virtualization platform. The role ensures the stability, scalability, and continuous evolution of critical infrastructure services supporting enterprise applications and end-user environments worldwide.
Responsibilities
- VMware Platform Ownership End-to-end responsibility for a multi-site VMware environment
- Operation and optimization of: vSphere clusters (HCI and non-HCI) ESXi hosts across distributed locations
- VxRail-based infrastructure
- Lifecycle management and integration of enterprise storage systems
- Capacity planning, performance tuning, and high availability design
- Digital Workspace / Citrix Setting
- Operate and evolve Citrix Virtual Apps Desktops platform
- Manage authentication components (StoreFront, FAS)
- Ensure optimal end-user experience across Windows Linux workloads
- Troubleshoot complex performance and authentication issues
- Automation Efficiency
- Drive automation of daily operations using PowerShell and scripting
- Standardize deployments, monitoring, and lifecycle processes
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code approaches
- Architecture Technology Evolution
- Support architecture discussions and future platform strategy
- Evaluate hybrid / multi-platform virtualization solutions
- Integrate modern technologies (automation, AI-based optimization)
Qualifications
Required Skills
- VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
- VxRail environments
- Enterprise storage (e.g., Pure Storage)
- Proven experience with Citrix Virtual Apps Desktops
- Scripting skills: PowerShell (mandatory)
- Solid knowledge of networking, storage, and authentication (AD/SSO)
- Practical experience with automation frameworks and orchestration tools
- Understanding of AIOps concepts: detection, Predictive analytics, Event correlation
- Experience with or exposure to: AI-assisted operations tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, monitoring integrations)
- API-driven integrations and data pipelines
- Ability to translate AI capabilities into concrete operational improvements
- Familiarity with prompt engineering / workflow automation using LLM tools (nice-to-have but highly relevant)
- Additional Experience
- Exposure to alternative virtualization platforms (e.g., cloud, Hyper-V)
- Experience in automation frameworks and AI-driven operations
- Enterprise / global IT environments
