Senior UniVerse BASIC Developer (MultiValue Database)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Universe BASIC Developer with strong expertise in Universe MultiValue Database development. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience working on enterprise-grade legacy applications, developing new features, and integrating Universe-based systems with other applications.

Required Experience

- 10+ years of recent hands-on development experience with Universe BASIC and Universe MultiValue Database.
- Currently involved in active Universe BASIC development.
- Strong experience designing and developing new features and enhancements in existing applications.
- Experience integrating Universe applications with external systems using technologies such as:
- HTTP
- XML
- RPC
- Web Services / APIs
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and enhance a complex codebase developed by other teams.
- Experience working within a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).




- Experience developing solutions based on business and technical specifications.

Preferred Experience

- Hospitality, Travel, Vacation Ownership or similar industry experience.
- Experience with MultiValue Integration Server (MVIS).
- Experience with other MultiValue/PICK technologies such as:
- UniData
- Pick D3
- Reality
- OpenQM
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as:
- Splunk
- Dynatrace

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain applications built on Universe BASIC and MultiValue databases.
- Analyze existing programs and implement current business functionality.
- Design and develop integrations with internal and external systems.
- Participate in requirement analysis, development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to deliver enhancements and new capabilities.
