Role & responsibilities:

- Design and develop welding fixtures (robot-mounted & manual), turning and rotating fixtures, SPMs, inspection fixtures, and location tooling using CATIA V6 CAD software.
- Should have knowledge of welding, bending, laser & assembly processes required for fixture design
- Should have knowledge about clamping/declamping units, pneumatic and welding accessories, tool-room machinery and pressing dollies used in fixturing.
- Read / write / Creating the detailed 2D & 3D drawing with GD&T; considering functions, process & should have knowledge about engineering standards
- Develop user-friendly tooling by reviewing design requirements, estimating tooling cost, conducting tooling testing and validation with CFT and tracking progress till production handover.
- Prepare tooling preventive maintenance (PM) plan and monitor its timely execution.




- Tooling resources planning and its effectively utilization.
- Complete assigned work within timelines set by the supervisor.
- Ensure 5S activity of own work area.
- Understanding of VAVE/KAIZEN related to tooling design like design simplification, fixture communization, parts standardization.
- Sheet metal Manufacturing will be added advantage.
